Author: Kamuran Üstüay, M.S.

Summary

It is aimed to increase the levels of authenticity of women who exists in this study by using the method of psychodrama. The study is planned the dates between 07.12.2012-24.05.2013 that is ongoing with 21 sessions.

To notice the effects of psychodrama, the “Authenticity Scale” is performed before the first session and last of the final session. Except two members of participants, the total scores of “Authenticity Scale” has increased which is implied at final session and the result of increase in total scores is interpreted as developing of their authenticity, however it is not meaningful statistically. According to the findings of this study, it is thought that women try to understand themselves objectively and develop their awareness examining of friendly behaviours in relations by using their creativity and spontaneity. The language without judgement and the creativity and spontaneity principles of psychodrama provides participants to review the relations with themselves and with others.

When we consider the results of the study, it is thought that more groups and longer periods for studies are necessary to determine the effects of psychodrama.
