Action Hub, a collaboration with FEPTO Training Committee
The Action Hub will serve as a meeting point for psychodrama practitioners and trainers to share their expertise, experiences, and case examples with colleagues working with similar target groups. The format is interactive: one participant introduces a theme or experience, after which all participants contribute their own knowledge, practice, and perspectives. This creates a dynamic exchange of knowledge and practice.
Forum guest speakers
Maurice Kamps (Certified Practisioner Psychodrama) started his career in intellectual disabilitie care as a trainee in a theatergroup for this target group. He is currently working as a personal support worker in a residential home for older residents with mild and light intellectual disabilities and additional psychiatric conditions for Pergamijn in Sittard, The Netherlands. Alongside his role as a support worker, he treats various cliënts using monodrama / psychodrama-à-deux sessions, in which he uses a simplified version of Ferdinand Cuvelier’s City of Axes as a common language. In adittion to his work with people with intellectual disabilities , he facilitates various groups through psychodrama via workshops amd individual and groupsessions.
Robin Mindell, co-founder and managing director of Spielzeit/Playtime Zürich and has over 20 years of experience in research, training, and specialist consulting in psychological care for neurodiverse children, including autism spectrum disorders (ASD) and ADHD. He is also an internationally recognized expert who developed the Spielzeit method and the AGGRIP® program, and delivers lectures, training, and publications worldwide on neurodiversity and childhood psychosomatics.

About cognitive impairments.
Children and young adults with severe cognitive and functional impairments experience discrimination not only in their daily lives but also in therapy and counselling. They generally cannot access these support services because communication is difficult. Psychodrama, with its playful approach, could be helpful here. However, even we psychodramatists are not trained to work with clients with special needs. In this Action Hub, we aim to facilitate an exchange between professionals who work with this challenging clientele. We are delighted to have secured Robin Mindell as our keynote speaker.
